3MSL Reliever of the Year Award Winner Named Monday, September 14th , 2054 Alberto Martínez was a calming influence out of the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids bullpen this season. His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 17-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the M3L Mexican Summer League Reliever of the Year Award for 2054. The La Romana, Dominican Republic native won the award with 6 saves in 20 relief appearances, 29 strikeouts in 24 innings and a record of 3-1 to go with his 0.38 ERA. He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 12. Marko Tapaninen of the MSL Santa Catalina Condor finished second in voting, while Pedro Ramírez of the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos finished third with 1 first place vote.
