Star of the Week Awarded in SMSL Monday, August 31st , 2054 It was announced today that MSL Seattle third baseman John Walker had received the USSL Mexican Summer League Player of the Week Award for his impressive play last week. All week long he was terrific at the plate and won the honor with a .556 BA (5-for-9), 2 home runs and 5 RBIs. This year Walker has collected a .322 batting average to date with 37 hits in 115 at-bats, 18 RBIs, 8 home runs and scored 14 times. He has played in 36 games. |
