Star of the Week Honored in SMSL Monday, August 3rd , 2054 It was announced today by the USSL Mexican Summer League that MSL Seattle shortstop Yoshinobu Kobayashi had received the Player of the Week Trophy for his superlative play last week. During his week-long batting binge he reeled off a .750 batting average, 3 hits and 2 home runs. Kobayashi also racked up 4 RBIs and scored 2 runs. Kobayashi is hitting .321 this year with 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. He has 9 hits in 28 at-bats, no walks and a .345 on-base percentage. Kobayashi has played in 19 games. |
