Astbury Launches 3 HR for Rhinos Sunday, August 23rd , 2054 Every now and then, everything just comes together. Brandon Astbury discovered that today at Ballpark of Albuquerque, as he smashed three home runs during the 8-1 Redwood Rhinos win over the Germantown Uruguayans. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Redwood catcher said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Astbury finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 7 RBIs. Brandon Astbury struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Thatcher Howard in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off José Zamora in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Walliyullah bin Seif in the 8th. Astbury is hitting at a .253 mark this season. His stats show 17 home runs, 29 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has played 68 games for the Rhinos. |
