Cajuns End Dennis's Streak Wednesday, August 19th , 2054 Steven Dennis of the Hicksville Hounds came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 1 at-bat for the first time in 20 games. Making matters even worse for the second baseman, Hicksville dropped the game to the Crowley Cajuns 5-1. "It was not a good day today," Dennis told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over." Looking at his stats this year, Dennis has compiled a .295 batting average, while hitting 8 home runs and driving in 31 runs. He has played in 75 games and scored 32 runs. |
