Viera Spins 6-0 Shutout Against Asheville Monday, August 3rd , 2054 Bruce Viera of the Athletic Club KC Academy overwhelmed the Asheville Highlanders and walked off the mound with a complete-game shutout. He blanked them 6-0 on 6 hits with a total of 5 strikeouts and no walks. "Bruce was on quite a roll," Athletic Club KC Academy manager Ralph Wood said. "He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters." Thus far this season Viera has compiled a 9-2 record, made no relief appearances with no saves, hurling 90.1 innings and striking out 99.
