Fat Cats Nance Suspended Monday, July 27th , 2054 Jim Nance of Ottawa got more than he bargained for when he was ejected for arguing a third strike call in yesterday's game against the Bethesda Atoms. It turns out that the ejection wasn't the end of it. Today, the league decided to suspend Nance for 2 games for his actions which included a rant filled with inappropriate language and throwing equipment on the field once he returned to the dugout. "Players need to show more restraint on the field," the league's announcement said. "Nance obviously crossed the line and we had to take the proper action against him." So far this season Nance has hit .292 with 1 home run, 6 RBIs and scored 2 times. |
