Hit Parade: McDowell Pops 5 Hits Friday, July 3rd , 2054 Mike McDowell put on a hitting clinic today at Ballpark of Tacoma, spraying hits all over the ballpark and lashing Lake Murray pitchers for 5 hits in 8 at-bats. However, the offensive onslaught wasn't enough for the Tacoma Fur Traders, who still fell, 5-4. "Sometimes I try to pull the ball too much, so today I just went with the pitch," McDowell told reporters after the game. "It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too." Mike McDowell struck out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, doubled in the 9th, singled in the 11th, doubled in the 13th, singled in the 15th and singled in the 18th.
