Pitcher Courtney Named SAAA Player of the Week Monday, August 10th , 2054 Sunset District starting pitcher, Frank Courtney breezed through the USSL Triple A batters last week and today was voted its outstanding player. He led the league with 2 wins awarded the SAAA Player of the Week trophy. For the week the Fog hurler compiled a fine 2-0 won-lost record, surrendered 2 hits and fanned 2 in 2.2 innings and put up an impressive 3.38 ERA. To date Courtney is 6-2 in 5 starts with a 2.51 ERA and has 71 strikeouts in 57.1 innings. |
