Mitchell Grabs 3L Reliever of the Year Award Tuesday, November 3rd , 2054 2054 was a year to remember for Bill Mitchell. The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids closer was the owner of a 0.85 ERA this season over 52.2 innings of work. He made 39 relief appearances and had 18 saves, 71 strikeouts, 9 walks and a record of 2 wins and 1 loss. He's also now got some hardware, as the 28-year-old has been named the Menard's Third League Reliever of the Year Award winner. "It's something I can tell my grandchildren some day, pretty special," he said. Jasper Smulders of the Las Vegas Flamingos finished second in voting, while Jim Hicks of the Detroit Elite finished third. |
