1B Springer Given 2-Game Suspension Thursday, August 20th , 2054 Chiefs first baseman Chris Springer was incensed after being suspended for 2 games by the commissioner's office following a heated argument the day before in the Caldwell-Eugene game at Pipers Ballpark. He was thrown out of the game for arguing a strike call. The league office cited Springer for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct," which included throwing his hat at the umpire several times.
