Washington Loses McGregor for Year
Sunday, July 12th , 2054
The doctors have spoken and Todd McGregor of the Washington Generals didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. McGregor sustained his season-ending injury during the Yucca Valley Yellows game yesterday at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Washington medical staff reported McGregor had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months.
In 10 starts this year McGregor has posted 5 wins while suffering 2 losses. He has pitched 53 innings, allowed 49 hits, struck out 55 and has a 3.91 ERA.
