Nelis Goes on Rampage Against Pandas Sunday, August 9th , 2054 No matter what the Montana Pandas threw at him today, Jochen Nelis hit it. He easily handled Pandas pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Piranhas to a 12-1 triumph at The Tank. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Nelis's quip, Pandas skipper Andrew Schupick said he "would take him up on that next time." Jochen Nelis singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th. This year Nelis is batting .298 with 36 hits and no home runs.
