Salinas, Redlegs Take Dramatic Game 1 for 1-0 Series Lead
The Sacramento Redlegs started the SL AAA Championship in dramatic fashion today, stealing Game 1 from the Pennsauken Flyers in a walk-off in the 10th inning. Sacramento took the 5-4 win thanks in large part to a good day from starter José Salinas. The left-hander threw 5.2 innings allowing 2 runs in the win, which gave the Redlegs a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-3 series.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Sacramento pinch hitter Ricardo Villanueva, facing Claudio Cortés, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Redlegs the 5-4 win.

"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Villanueva.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sacramento Sanitation Station in Sacramento.
