The Athletic Club KC and New Orleans Voodoo provided some drama for the home crowd.

In a low-scoring contest, New Orleans pitcher Santiago Proximo was marvelous in his team's 2-1 win. The save was credited to Herman Stone, his 1st.

Proximo, who was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, threw 92 pitches over 6.1 innings, while allowing 1 run.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Proximo said.

The Voodoo raised their record to 10-8.
