Bullets Collect 6-5 Win Over Rocketeers
|
The MSL Seattle Rocketeers got a superb performance from right fielder Spencer Ogle. Still, it wasn't enough to beat MSL Baltimore. The Bullets won the game, 6-5. Ogle hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Reliever Jesús Cruz picked up the win. His record improves to 4-1. Pascal Langlet took the loss. César Cruz finished the game for MSL Baltimore and earned his 2nd save.
MSL Baltimore used the timely hitting of Spencer Suter to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Bullets on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Suter, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
The Bullets are now 15-16, while the Rocketeers fall to 16-15.
