Knights Topple Lighthouse, 7-1, as Ruíz Shines
The exploits of shortstop Sergio Ruíz, who is tied for 8th in the SMSL in bases on balls with 7, helped the MSL Kingston Township Knights defeat the MSL Long Island Lighthouse, 7-1. Ruíz was 3-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The wins continue to add up for MSL Kingston Township, with the latest making it 8 in a row.

The Knights grabbed the lead in the bottom of the third. With two out, Tim Anderson, who is tied for 3rd in the SMSL in triples with 1, hit a solo home run off Guillermo Contreras, putting MSL Kingston Township in front, 2-0. For Anderson, it was his 3rd home run of the season.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said MSL Long Island manager Austin Case.
