MSL Cape Coral rode a decent outing from starter José Porcallo to victory over the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC. The final score was 3-2. Porcallo went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-0. Jorge Gallegos closed the door for MSL Cape Coral, picking up his 5th save of the year.
MSL Cape Coral used a well-timed hit by Sjelle Strijk to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Hurricanes ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I was a little disappointed," said MSL Thunder Bay manager Ismael Barrios. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
