In a low-scoring game between MSL D.C. and MSL Nova Scotia, pitcher Armando Pérez was excellent. The MSL D.C. right-hander helped his team knock off the Leviathan, 3-1. Ron van der Ploeg was credited with the save for MSL D.C., his 2nd of the season. MSL D.C., with the win, climbs to 4-8.
MSL D.C. took a 2-1 lead on Vincent Berrios's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run came off MSL Nova Scotia pitcher Ricardo Tirado in the top of the seventh.
"This was a tough loss," said MSL Nova Scotia manager Bernardo Hernández. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
