Bowties Knock Off Leviathan, 7-1

Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the MSL Buckhead Bowties were eager to watch Tristan Liefting square off against Li-ping Cheng of the visiting MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan. In the end, the Bowties won the game, 7-1, with Tristan Liefting leading the way. Liefting got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 8.1 innings. Liefting allowed 1 run.
Larry Newman hit a bases-clearing double off Li-ping Cheng in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Bowties in front, 4-1. In addition to the double, Newman had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
Newman called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
