MSL Boston Wins, Wacher hits 2 home runs
In a high-scoring contest between MSL Boston and MSL Panama City, third baseman Douglas Wacher was a difference-maker. Wacher, who is tied for 8th in the PMSL with a .815 OPS, distinguished himself in the 11-8 MSL Boston win. He belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Gérard Varin, the winning pitcher, improved to 6-4. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 9 and walking 2. MSL Boston, at 24-24, occupies 6th place in the PL MSL.

MSL Boston used a clutch hit from Andrés López to snatch the win. The left fielder belted a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Patriots ahead, 9-3. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

Patriots manager David Henderson wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
