U-18 Knock Off MSL Pittsburgh, 3-1

The MSL Athletic Club KC U-18 beat the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 3-1, at MSL Pittsburgh Ballpark. Starting pitcher Tony Mireles was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Mireles went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 6-6. Rory Taylor locked down his 2nd save.
In the top of the first, Jesús Gómez ambushed a 0-1 curveball from Cisco Rodríguez and hit a solo home run. It gave MSL Athletic Club KC a quick 1-0 lead.
"I really like what we did out there today," Mireles said after the game.
The U-18 raised their record to 19-22.
