MSL Vancouver beat MSL Greenville on the strength of starter Edgardo Cuellar's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. The winner in relief was Bradley Tickell. He is now 1-1. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 2.2 innings. MSL Vancouver has a 3-game win streak, while MSL Greenville has lost 3 in a row.
Had Jeremy Hester not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Hester hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Grey Wolves.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Hester told the MSL Vancouver Observer. "You win just by scoring more runs."
