Kingfishers Take Down Cattlemen, 6-5
|
The MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen got a sterling performance from pitcher Jin-ho Park, but the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers still prevailed, 6-5. Park threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Miguel García closed it out for his 5th save. At 17-12, the Kingfishers are currently third in the PL MSL.
The most important at-bat for MSL Pittsburgh came in the top of the ninth inning, when right fielder Suk-jin Chong stroked a first pitch fastball to right-center for a 2-run single, putting MSL Pittsburgh up, 6-5.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said MSL Pittsburgh manager Ricky Miller.
