Cattlemen Beat Pandas, 3-1

The MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen went home winners at MSL Montana Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Pancho Maldonado. Maldonado stifled the MSL Montana Pandas, enabling MSL Ft. Worth to grab the 3-1 win. Maldonado, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks. MSL Ft. Worth raised its record to 9-9 with the win.
The Pandas had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Cattlemen going into the top of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 18-year old catcher Ji-man Chong came to the plate. Chong hit a 2-run home run on a 1-2 sinker from MSL Montana hurler Yen-nien Yan. It was Chong's 1st home run of the year.
When asked about his performance after the game, Chong said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
