Cattlemen Fell Piranhas, 7-3
|
The MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen topped the MSL Panama City Piranhas, 7-3, in USPL Mexican Summer League action at MSL Ft. Worth Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of MSL Ft. Worth pitcher Pancho Maldonado. MSL Ft. Worth's record now stands at 7-8, placing them 6th in the PL MSL.
Had it not been for Mario Ornelas, the results might have been different. In the bottom of the seventh inning, when the Cattlemen were trailing 3-2, Ornelas hit a 2-run single for MSL Ft. Worth, giving his team the lead.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Maldonado said.
