Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Puffer Fish
|
Plattsburgh picked up a win at Alouettes Ballpark, toppling the Capital Hill Interns, 6-4. Pitcher Mo Jones was one of the reasons the Puffer Fish triumphed. Glenn Lortkipanidze finished to wrap up his 24th save. Plattsburgh is 4th in the Menard's Low A with a record of 55-39.
Plattsburgh used the timely hitting of Jorge Galló to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Puffer Fish on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Galló.
