Otters Cut Down Crush, 3-0
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Tulsa Otters and the Flint Crush, Derek Carter was the difference-maker. The Tulsa right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. The winner in relief was Román Martínez. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-1. Brent Golightly finished the game for Tulsa and earned his 17th save.
Joaquín Rivera went 1-2 for Tulsa. In the bottom of the seventh, with the teams deadlocked, 0-0, Rivera delivered for the Otters. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Tulsa on top, 1-0.
"Derek was pounding the zone," said Tulsa manager Ben Cooper.
Tulsa is now 49-43.
