Toros Need Extra Frames to Get Past Ducks

Tijuana beat Long Island on the strength of starter Shi-xian Zou's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. The Toros move to 16-75 with the win.
Tijuana used the timely hitting of Carlos Álvarez to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Toros on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Álvarez said his team "played with determination."
