|
Derek Carter pitched a gem to lead Tulsa to victory over the Long Island Ducks, 2-1. Carter picked up the win for Tulsa, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 8-6. Brent Golightly, credited with the save, is now 16 for 19 in save opportunities.
Sherman Moore dealt the Ducks a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with a runner on 3rd and Tulsa leading 1-0, Moore hit a 1-2 curveball for a run-scoring triple.
"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Moore said.
