The Bompton Baby Lakers stymied the Tulsa Otters, 3-1, at Field of the Browns. George Luna had a good day at the plate. He threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball for Bompton. The victory gives Bompton a record of 28-23.
In the bottom of the third, Kevin Smith hit a run-scoring double. The 5th double of the season for the Bompton shortstop put the Baby Lakers on top, 1-0.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Smith.
