The Redwood Rhinos bested the Ladue Rams, 5-3, at Ballpark of Wellsville. Ricardo Cantú was one of the standouts. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Redwood reliever Shafeeq bin Fakhry was the winner. His record is now 8-1. Umberto Erkelens took the loss. Emílio García was credited with the save for Redwood, his 31st of the season.

Redwood third baseman Kenny Chamberlain provided the clutch hit. In the top of the tenth, he belted a 2-run home run to put his team in front and help them pick up the win.

In postgame remarks, Cantú simply said: "Here's to a great win!"

Redwood now sits at 56-40, while Ladue falls to 51-45.
