Beavers Net 3-2 Win Over Baby Blues

The Ballard Beavers had to overcome a fine performance from Quebec City pitcher Henry Peters to grab a 3-2 win at Dylan Park. Peters allowed 3 runs over 6.1 innings. Sam Potter, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-3. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 3. Ballard now has a record of 51-42 with the win.
Ballard used the timely hitting of Sam Ledesma to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Beavers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Quebec City manager Andrés Ventura.
