Germantown Uruguayans starter Donald Young was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Northwest Territory Beavers, 4-2. The Uruguayans sport a record of 36-56.
Germantown used the clutch hitting of Harun Abdul-Hamid to snag the win. The catcher drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Uruguayans ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
Northwest Territory manager Robert Acker said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
