Angel Kitties Drop Uruguayans, 9-2
|
Bethlehem starter Ronnie Peters kept the Germantown hitters in check, helping his team cruise to a win, 9-2. Luka Bachev, now 8-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Germantown is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
Bethlehem used the timely hitting of Cody McGrann to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Angel Kitties on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," McGrann told the Bethlehem Daily. "But we take nothing for granted."
