Kyong Slugs Kingfishers to 5-2 Win
Pittsburgh and Montana duked it out and the Kingfishers came out victorious.

No one was more impactful than Seung-jae Kyong in the 5-2 Pittsburgh win over Montana. Kyong, who led the PL in batting average with .398 in 2049, slugged 2 home runs. Craig Culver got the win, improving to 3-0. He held the Pandas to 2 runs on 4 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Cipriano Rosas collected his 5th save.

Pittsburgh relied on the bat of Jesús Bonilla to get the win. The first baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put the Kingfishers ahead, 3-1. For the game, Bonilla had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

Bonilla told a Pittsburgh Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

The Pandas drop to 7-8 and continue their mediocre start to the 2054 season.
