Rams Topple Beavers, 4-1

The Ladue Rams earned a win at Beaver Town, stopping the Northwest Territory Beavers, 4-1. Starting pitcher Sebastian Mawle played a big role in his team's success. Mawle went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 4. His record improves to 4-0. Mario González notched his 19th save in 21 chances.
Jesús Velásquez had a big solo home run for the Rams in the top of the fourth inning. With Ladue leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he got a curveball from Moanna Eutakio and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 8th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rams ahead, 3-1.
"Enjoyed this one," Velásquez told the Ladue Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
With the win, the Rams improved to 39-38.
