The Napanee Express defeated the Quebec City Baby Blues, 7-6. Doing his part was right fielder Kuei-lin Lao, who went 2-2 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Napanee reliever Baden Fewings picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Jorge Cortéz absorbed the loss. Christian Taylor earned the save, his 11th.

Lao had a timely hit for Napanee in the top of the sixth. With Quebec City trailing 5-4, he turned a 2-2 changeup into a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 6-5, Napanee.

Express manager Kyu-cheol Kye wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."

Napanee is now 33-38.
