Peters Tames Uruguayans
|
Henry Peters was superb against Germantown. The right-hander, who leads the SA- with a 12.7 K/9 rate, had a splitter that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Baby Blues victory. The score was 6-4. Jim Lee got credit for the save for Quebec City. It was his 16th of the year. The second-place Baby Blues now have a win-loss record of 37-26.
The standout performance belonged to 19-year-old Peters. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Baby Blues. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Uruguayans, striking out 9 and scattering 2 hits over 7.1 innings. Peters is now 9-2 on the season.
"Every win gets us closer to our ultimate goal," said Peters.
