Landry Lifts Beavers to 6-0 Win
|
Bobby Landry was superb against Germantown. The right-hander, who is tied for 4th in the SA- with a 89 strikeouts, had a forkball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Beavers victory. The score was 6-0. In 7.1 innings, Landry surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 0. He allowed no runs. Northwest Territory has now won 4 straight.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Daniel Webster? The Northwest Territory third baseman had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the fourth inning to put the Beavers on top, 2-0. For the game, Webster had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"You can't take yourself too seriously," Webster told the Northwest Territory Daily News. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
