The Ballard Beavers got a superb performance from pitcher Bill MacNeill, but the Germantown Uruguayans still won the game, 5-1. MacNeill threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. Germantown pitcher Agnipa Sai got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Bill MacNeill got the loss. Jorge Martínez finished the game for Germantown and earned his 1st save.
In the bottom of the first, Germantown third baseman Justin Welch had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Welch stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 4-0, Germantown. For the game, he was 1-3. He drove in 2 runs.
"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Welch told the Germantown Gazette.
Germantown now has a 3-game win streak.
