|
The Surprise Shockers picked up a win at Shockers Field, knocking off the Bompton Baby Lakers, 5-4. On the mound for Surprise was left-hander Jon Murphy, who played a pivotal role in the win. The win lifts Surprise to a record of 3-1.
In the bottom of the sixth, Víctor Montellano delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Surprise catcher hit a run-scoring single, putting the Shockers in front, 5-4.
