Beavers Handled by Germantown, 2-1
|
Germantown Uruguayans starter Kaluka Ezekiela turned in a top-notch performance against the Northwest Territory Beavers at Ballpark of Albuquerque. The result was a win for the Uruguayans, 2-1. The current losing streak for Northwest Territory has reached 5 games.
The Beavers had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Uruguayans going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old left fielder Yong-sung Kim came to the plate. Kim hit a solo home run on a 2-0 fastball from Northwest Territory hurler Bob Miller. It was Kim's 3rd home run of the year.
Ezekiela called the win "a team effort."
