Tight Tilt Goes to Beavers, 2-1
|
The Northwest Territory Beavers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Bob Miller, who stifled the Bethlehem offense en route to a 2-1 Beavers win at Beaver Town. Paul Scott finished to wrap up his 8th save. At 17-22, Northwest Territory is in 7th place in the Silver Low A.
A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Beavers sent 19-year-old designated hitter Tse-peng Wu to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and drew a walk, driving in 1 run, to put Northwest Territory on top, 2-0.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Wu.
