Angel Kitties Need Extra Frames to Get Past Beavers
|
The Bethlehem Angel Kitties beat the Ballard Beavers, 4-2, in 11 innings. Bethlehem designated hitter Alastair Warnes, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Júlio Ortíz was credited with the save for Bethlehem, his 1st of the season. The victory gives Bethlehem a record of 18-11.
Warnes had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 1-2 fastball from César Macías, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Angel Kitties a 4-2 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Warnes.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Warnes told the Bethlehem Daily. "Whatever it takes."
