2-1 Loss Extends Watford City Skid
|
The Hicksville Hounds and Watford City Trash Pandas put on a pitchers' duel.
The Hicksville Hounds got a magnificent performance from pitcher Jesús Cortéz, who stifled the Watford City offense en route to a 2-1 Hounds win at Hound Pound. Jorge Guillén closed the game out for Hicksville, earning his 17th save.
Hicksville grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Robinson Barrios delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Hounds.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Barrios.
The losing skid has reached 7 games for Watford City.
