Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Centennial
|
The Fort Knox Centennial topped the Hicksville Hounds, 7-4, in USPL Low A action at Ballpark of Baxter. The standout performance belonged to Fort Knox pitcher and Mao, Dominican Republic, native Fernando López. Fort Knox reliever Han-soo Yang picked up the win, raising his record to 2-2. Jorge Guillén was tagged with the loss. The second-place Centennial go to 51-39.
Pedro Cortés won the game for Fort Knox when homered off Jorge Guillén in the bottom of the 11th.
"There's no quit in this team," said Centennial manager Justin Saginov.
