The Crowley Cajuns got a superb performance from pitcher Jesús Durán, but the Amarillo Warheads still won the game, 3-2. Durán threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball. The first-place Cajuns have lost 4 consecutive games.
Alberto Mata, the 21-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Mata contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Amarillo up, 1-0.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Mata.
