Stevenson Twirls a Gem for Hudsonville
|
The Hudsonville Flanderses went home winners at Hudsonville Park, thanks in large part to starter Ray Stevenson. Stevenson stifled the Amarillo Warheads, enabling Hudsonville to grab the 5-0 win. Augusto Nieves earned the save for Hudsonville, his 3rd of the year. Amarillo, at 27-38, has lost 5 straight.
Stevenson, who dominated for Hudsonville, earned the victory to move to 5-5. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 8. Amarillo batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Stevenson said.
