New Orleans pitcher Ronnie Gómez did his part in helping his team beat the Boston Patriots, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Tim Strong was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. New Orleans goes to 7-7.

Eduardo López made an early impact for New Orleans when he stroked his 1st triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which came with two out in the top of the second, put the Voodoo on top, 2-0.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said López.
